“Monumental, there is no better word to describe this vintage. Roundness in every single aspect of the wine: elegance, freshness and great acidy that gives very fine layers surprisingly detectable on the nose and at the first sip. Colore 2019 celebrates my 20th anniversary as a winemaker. It has been a great journey since 2000, full of satisfactions and now with this vintage I finally close the circle. My wines at the beginning were looking for structure and concentration, in 2009 I realized that “elegance” should have been the main drive. In 2019 I did it!”

Jane Anson beloonde de wijn met de perfecte score van 100/100 punten! De invloedrijke Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate geeft deze jaargang zijn allerhoogste score ooit: 98+/100 punten - waarbij het ‘plusje’ in de rating zinspeelt op een nóg hogere score wanneer de wijn wat langer gerijpt heeft. Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: ‘There is perhaps no greater ‘out of the box’ vintner in Italian wine than Bibi Graetz.’

Colore 2021 mooie robijnrode tint en een licht amberkleurige rand. In de geur impressies van paddestoelen, zoete tabak en een rokerige toets van de houtrijping. In de smaak aroma’s van zwarte kersen, bramen, pruimen, balsamico en groene kruiden. Hartig en vlezig met een krachtige kern waarbij de mooie zuren zorgen voor een energiek karakter. De tannines zijn extreem fijn - doch uiteraard op deze leeftijd nog duidelijk te jong. Duidelijk compacter, donkerder en kruidiger dan Testamatta.
