Klassieke rechteroever-Bordeaux. Dieprode tint. Fraai complex van geur, met rijpe bramen, kersen en eikenhout. De smaak zet krachtig en rond in en ontwikkelt een pittige structuur met rijpe tannine in de afdronk. Jong mooi bij krachtige wildschotels, gerijpt heerlijk bij fijne gerechten uit de oven of gebraden rundvlees. Houdbaar tot zeker 10 à 12 jaar na oogst.

Volrode, Franse wijn met een kruidig en licht gerijpt aroma. Gemaakt van merlotdruiven, aangevuld met cabernet sauvignon en malbec. De volle, soepele smaak combineert goed met rood vlees en wild.

Lovely black fruit, cherry scents and some nice mellow woody hints with tannins that are ripe yet firm. The wines are matured in oak barrels for 12-14 months. Merlot contributes flesh and rotundity, Cabernet, berry fruit structure.

RS 144 g/l, TA 6 g/l, pH 3.65. Mid gold. Very direct and glossy. Edge of veg and toast. Real tension! Tense pear juice with lots of grip and attack.

This is a tightly wound second wine with dark-berry, hazelnut and chocolate character. Full body, integrated tannins and a fresh and bright finish. Score: 92-93/100James Suckling
